Didier Morelli has been named as curator of Manif d'art 12 — La Biennale de Quebec/The Quebec City Biennial.
The only winter biennial in North America, the 12th edition is scheduled to take place Feb. 28 to April 19, 2026 in Quebec City, Que.
Morelli has chosen the theme “Briser la glace / Splitting ice” as the theme of the biennial, which will feature many special events and the work of more than 100 national and international artists.
A curator, art historian, visual artist and cultural critic, Morelli holds a master of fine arts degree from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. He was the curatorial research assistant for the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec's Evergon retrospective in 2022. Morelli also curated Jardins sans murs at the Grantham Foundation for the Arts and the Environment in 2023, as well as Sportification at Artexte in 2024.
