Robert Amos
E. J. Hughes Paints Vancouver Island by Robert Amos is a finalist for the $5,000 City of Victoria Butler Book Prize, awarded by the Victoria Book Prize Society.
The prize honours the Victoria author deemed to have written the best book published in the preceding year, whether fiction, non-fiction or poetry.
Other finalists are: God of Shadows by Lorna Crozier (poetry), Washington Black by Esi Edugyan (fiction), Mamaskatch by Darrel J. McLeod (biography), and Dear Evelyn by Kathy Page (fiction).
The winner will be announced Oct. 9.
