Elyssia Sasaki to Head Island Mountain Arts in Wells, B.C.

Elyssia Sasaki has been named as the new executive director of Island Mountain Arts, an artist-run centre in Wells, B.C. 

Sasaki, an event organizer and producer, has been based in Whitehorse since 2016, where she worked in arts presentation and administration for various arts organizations.

"I’m really looking forward to getting to know the myriad of folk that make Island Mountain Arts such a strong and vibrant community," she says.

The outgoing executive director, Julie Fowler, will wrap up 17 years of work at the centre at the end of October.
