Fifty-two artists from across Canada are finalists for the inaugural Salt Spring National Art Prize.
The finalists, who will contend for $25,000 in prize money, were chosen from more than 800 entries. The prize aims to encourage artists whose work demonstrates visual impact and depth of meaning.
“We are extremely pleased with the number and quality of works submitted by artists from across the country,” said the prize’s founding director Ronald Crawford.
