Fletcher Quince Named Curator of Kootenay Gallery

Fletcher Quince

Fletcher Quince has been hired as the curator of the Kootenay Gallery of Art in Castlegar.

Quince, who started at the gallery in the southern interior of British Columbia earlier this month, is from nearby Rossland, where he has been active in the arts community, primarily as the operator of the Rossland Art Gallery.

He is a board member of the Rossland Arts Centre Society, as well as the Lower Columbia Community Development Team Society and the Greater Trail Community Skills Centre.

"Fletcher brings years of experience as a curator and as an active promoter of art and artists to his new position at the Kootenay Gallery of Art, as well as strong leadership skills in community development," the gallery said.

Prior to moving to Rossland in 2009, Quince completed an undergraduate degree in cognitive neuroscience and a master's degree in forest fire management.
