Foothills Art Tour Marks Alberta's Month of the Artist 2022

Eight artists and arts groups within a 45-minute drive from Calgary are teaming up again to host what they call Alberta's "most beautiful" art tour. 

The tour runs in the foothills from the Millarville area, through Turner Valley to Black Diamond, and on to Okotoks.

Four galleries – the Leighton Art Centre, the Bluerock Gallery, Lineham House Galleries and the Okotoks Art Gallery – and four studios – the Kristoferson Studio, the Mady Thiel-Kopstein,  the Firebrand Glass Studio and Stone Wood and Steel studio  – will be open Sept. 16 to Sept. 17.

The self-drive tour is timed to coincide with Alberta Culture Days, and includes special events and activities. 

Admission to each venue is free. Opening hours differ between venues, so consult the schedule at www.themostbeautifulartourinalberta.com.

    The Leighton Art Centre is an Art Gallery, Museum and Arts Education Centre located on 80 acres of Foothills Fescue natural grasslands just outside of Calgary, near Millarville in Alberta’s Foothills County.
