Foothills Art Tour Marks Alberta Culture Days

Eight artists and arts groups in the foothills within a 45-minute drive from Calgary are teaming up to host what they're calling the "most beautiful" art tour in Alberta. 

The tour runs from the Millarville area, through Turner Valley to Black Diamond and on to Okotoks.

Four galleries - the Leighton Art Centre, the Bluerock Gallery, Lineham House Galleries and the Okotoks Art Gallery - and four studios - the Kristoferson Studio, the Mady Thiel-Kopstein, Eversfield Ceramics and the Firebrand Glass Studio - will be open Sept. 27 to Sept. 29.

The self-drive tour is timed to coincide with Alberta Culture Days, and includes special events and activities. Admission to each venue is free. Opening hours differ between venues, so consult the schedule at www.themostbeautifulartourinalberta.com.
