Galleries West is a finalist seven times over for this year's Alberta Magazine Awards – including four nominations in the digital project category and three in various writing categories.
The awards, organized by the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association, honour outstanding work by magazine writers and visual creators. Winners will be announced Sept. 22.
The Galleries West finalists are:
- Curtis Gillespie, long feature writing, for Going, Going, Gone West
- Megan Klak, emerging writer, for Mentorship as Social Sculpture
- Mark Mushet, digital project, for three videos – Nancy Boyd, Charlene Vickers, and Emily Hermant
- Sarah Swan, short feature writing, for Wendy, Master of Art
- Tom Tait and Portia Priegert, digital project, for the Galleries West website
