Galleries West writer Sarah Swan has won silver for her short feature on Margaret Nazon, an artist in the Northwest Territories, at the Alberta Magazine Awards. Swan's story, A Beaded Universe, was published in Galleries West magazine in 2018.
The annual awards, hosted by the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association and judged by industry leaders from across North America, showcased outstanding work in some 20 categories. Galleries West was also shortlisted for a second writing award and for Digital Presence: Special Feature or Website.
