Vancouver artist Gathie Falk's touring exhibition, Revelations, has opened at Museum London in southwestern Ontario.
The show, which continues to May 7, explores the career of Falk, 94, described by the gallery as "one of Canada’s most visionary and experimental artists."
Falk celebrates the quotidian – stacks of glossy ceramic apples or paintings of flower beds – in imaginative ways.
"Throughout her career, the artist has been drawn to themes of order and disorder, the sacred quality of daily life, and time's swift and relentless passage," the museum says.
Falk has received many awards, including the Audain Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Visual Arts in 2013, the Order of British Columbia in 2002, and the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts in 2003.
This exhibition, accompanied by a major publication, is organized and circulated by McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, Ont.
