George Harris Named Director of Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George, B.C.
George Harris has been appointed executive director of the Two Rivers Gallery in Prince George, B.C.
Harris has been the gallery's curator since 2001.
"It has been such a pleasure to work with so many artists and members of our community over the years," he said. "Through art we can see the world differently, understand unfamiliar perspectives and the challenges of our time more deeply and effect positive change."
Harris has also worked as the director/curator of the Yukon Arts Centre Gallery in Whitehorse.
He has a master's degree from the University of East Anglia (Norwich).
He is the visual arts editor of Thimbleberry, a magazine for the arts in Northern B.C., and a past board member of the International Council Of Museums Canada. In 2016, he won the B.C. Museums Association's Distinguished Service Award.
