Griffin Art Projects Sets up Residency in B.C. Interior
Griffin Art Projects in Vancouver has set up a new residency program in the B.C. Interior.
The inaugural Similkameen Artist Residency is seeking applications for residencies of one, two or three months.
Applications for the first season, which includes August, September and October, are due as soon as possible. For a start date from November to the following October, the application deadline is Sept. 1.
The residency, located in a log building in the sage-covered hills close to the Similkameen River in the Southern Okanagan, provides a chance to develop new ideas independently with a small company of peers.
The residency is open to a wide range of artistic practices, including writing, textiles, sound art, sculpture, DIY printmaking, photography and film.
Emerging, mid-career and established artists from across Canada and beyond may apply.
