Janvier Paintings Find New Homes in Edmonton

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts is pleased to announce that the monumental painting O'Kanada by Alberta Indigenous artist Alex Janvier has a new home in the Royal Alberta Museum. It is located in the free-admission area on the museum's second floor.
This work, part of the foundation's art collection, is on extended loan to the museum. It was part of the National Gallery of Canada’s recent Janvier retrospective.
As well, a diptych by Janvier, Sunrise and Sunset, has been installed in the Legislature Chamber.

It was donated by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees to mark its centennial.
