Jessica Groome named Executive Director, Chief Curator of Art Gallery of Grande Prairie
Jessica Groome has been named the new executive director and chief curator of the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie.
“Jessica brings with them a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the art and museum field, having held most recent the position of curator at the AGGP,” according to the gallery’s news release.
“Their visionary leadership, passion for the arts and commitment to AGGP’s mission makes them the ideal candidate to guide us into the next chapter of our journey.”
Originally from Kamloops, BC, Groome is a multidisciplinary artist, curator, educator and administrator. They have a masters degree in fine arts from the University of Guelph and a bachelor’s degree from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver. They were named the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s curator of exhibitions and collections in June 2023.
