After 10 years, John Zeppetelli is leaving his job as director and chief curator of the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal in 2024.
An exact date for Zeppetelli’s departure was not announced by the museum. A statement from the museum praised Zeppetelli’s “voracious passion for art, his great love of artists and his remarkable audacity.”
Among the exhibitions organized by Zeppetelli were Margolles: Mundos, and Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything.
Under Zeppetelli, the museum announced a multi-million-dollar renovation project in 2018. Exhibitions are temporarily located in the nearby office building, Place Ville-Marie, until at least 2027.
