Thirty finalists have been chosen for the Kingston Prize for Canadian portraiture.
The top $20,000 prize and two honourable mentions of $2,000 each will be handed out during a reception at the Firehall Theatre in Gananoque, Ont., on Oct. 17.
The finalists' portraits will be presented online, one per day, throughout September at @canadaportraitprize.
The jury is composed of Catharine Mastin, of Windsor, Ont.; Sarah Milroy, of Toronto; and Phil Richards, of Toronto.
