The fundraising goal of the evening: to raise $1 Million needed to establish 'Temporary Contemporary' in the Centennial Planetarium, a pop-up space scheduled to open in the fall of 2016. The $1 Million goal was reached in large part an unprecedented live and silent auction of contemporary art and a $500,000 matching commitment generously offered by anonymous donors. The live auction, led by Stephen Ranger, included 19 donated works from artists including Chris Cran, Kim Dorland, Shawn Evans, Fiona Ackerman, Angela Leach, Erik Olson, Evan Penny, and many others. An accompanying silent auction featured 39 pieces of artwork and experiences. LOOK2015 was truly a community effort.
