Galleries and museums in Manitoba can reopen at 25 per cent capacity as of Friday after months of lockdown, the provincial government announced Monday.
The new rules also allow a range of businesses, services and activities to welcome visitors at 25 per cent capacity.
"We are proceeding with caution," Premier Brian Pallister announced Tuesday.
Case counts have dropped into double digits in the province, which had been having hundreds of cases a day last October.
“With fewer restrictions, we must remain cautious, in fact, even more cautious," Pallister said. "In the absence of COVID-19 vaccines from the federal government, following the fundamentals is how we continue to protect each other and save lives.”
There was no immediate word from galleries and museums as to their specific plans for reopening.
