Galleries and museums are among the venues that can reopen in Manitoba as of May 4, Premier Brian Pallister announced Wednesday.
They are are among the non-essential health care, retail and recreational businesses and services that will be part of a careful, multi-phased effort next week to restore opportunities while maintaining physical distancing.
Other services, businesses and venues include some medical services, restaurants, retail businesses, hair salons and campgrounds.
"Today's good news, and it's good news because of you," Pallister said, praising Manitobans for adapting to the restrictions put in place to halt the spread of COVID-19.
As of Tuesday, the province had recorded 272 cases of the illness since the first cases were reported March 12, with six deaths.
