Mixed Company, a Winnipeg colloquium that runs June 25 to June 27, will consider how non-white methodologies can reshape cultural production and practice.
Keynote speaker Lisa Lowe, a Yale University professor, will be joined by Katherine McKittrick, a professor at Queen's University, in a post-talk conversation.
Other speakers include artists, academics and curators such as Tania Willard, Erin Christovale, Daina Warren, Patrick Cruz, Jaime Isaac, Sampada Aranke, Cathy Mattes, Ajay Kurian, Lori Blondeau, Eunsong Kim, Peter Morin, Curtis Santiago, Native Art Department (Maria Hupfield and Jason Lujan) and Jessica Lynne.
Mixed Company is organized by Kim Nguyen, Divya Mehra and Amy Fung, who, as curators, artists and writers, have engaged in contemporary visual arts across North America.
