The Canadian craft community will gather in Saskatoon from March 4 to March 8 for the annual conference of the Canadian Crafts Federation.
The conference, titled 10 Digit Technology: Understanding Material and Digital Realities, explores how people remain connected to craft despite the digital world that immerses us.
It is hosted by the Saskatchewan Craft Council.
“Craft is not at odds with digital practices and, in fact, both digital explorers and material artists benefit from learning more about what is possible when we work together," says the council's executive director Carmen Milenkovic.
The conference includes lectures, panel discussions, gallery visits and networking events as well as an awards ceremony.
