New Curator Joins Kelowna Art Gallery

Laura Ritchie

Laura Jane Ritchie is the new curator at the Kelowna Art Gallery.  

Ritchie comes from the Art Gallery of Alberta, where she was the head of exhibitions and collections management.

Her curatorial projects, including Canadian Women Painters of the 19th Century, William Townsend: Painting Alberta and The Abstract and Avant-Garde in Canada,  focused on Canadian historical works from the permanent collection. 

Originally from New Brunswick, she holds an Master's degree in art history from Western University in London, Ont.
