The Alberta government is spending $40 million to revitalize the Glenbow Museum in Calgary.
The 45-year-old building has been falling into disrepair. Renovations include new meeting spaces, a restaurant and a theatre, designed to increase revenues for the museum.
"We have ambitious plans to revitalize Glenbow to better serve the diverse needs of all Albertans,” said Nicholas Bell, the Glenbow's director.
The building and most collections are owned by the provincial government.
