Raj Sen Named Acting Executive Director of Open Space
The interim board of directors of Victoria's Open Space Arts Society has announced the appointment of Raj Sen as the artist-run centre's acting executive director for a one-year term starting June 1.
Sen has worked in the international contemporary art world for the last five years, most recently as director of the Singapore branch of Sundaram Tagore Gallery. He has managed projects for exhibitions at Bangkok Arts and the Ayala Museum in Manila and in 2015 helped realize a successful collateral event at the Venice Biennale.
Sen spent much of his youth in British Columbia and studied art history at the University of Victoria.
“Raj has demonstrated the skills necessary to manage the organization through its current period of transition and put it on stable footing, and we are grateful that he has agreed to join the team at Open Space,” said Charles Campbell, chair of the interim board.
