Remai Modern staff moves into new museum
The staff of Remai Modern has made the move to the new museum, and everyone is busy unpacking and settling into attractive and functional new office spaces.
“Although construction continues in many parts of the building—including continuing work on the climate system— the staff has been able to move into the administration area,” said Gregory Burke, Remai Modern Executive Director & CEO.
“The move from the Mendel Art Gallery to Remai Modern over the past few days has gone very well,” he said, adding the artwork, which has been crated and prepared for the move, will come later.
“We can’t begin to move the permanent collection of more than 8,000 artworks until construction is complete and we’ve achieved a period of stable climate readings.
“We’re very excited to be here, and getting to know this fabulous new building,” Burke said. “The staff relocation is a major milestone.”
Burke said he expects to be able to announce the date for the Remai Modern grand opening soon.
