Residency Award at Vancouver's Griffin Art Projects

Sara-Jeanne Bourget is the first winner of a three-month residency award that Griffin Art Projects is offering a to a recent MFA graduate at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design. The residency runs from Aug. 1 to Oct. 31 and includes a rent-free studio space.
Bourget was born in Lévis, Que., in 1988, and earned a BFA at Montreal's Concordia University in 2015. She graduated with an MFA in 2019.
She will use the residency to develop concepts explored in her thesis project and create a series of drawings that explore “physical and conceptual interconnections between rocks, paper and charcoal.
Jury members for the selection process were drawn from Griffin Art Projects and the faculty at Emily Carr University.
