Salt Spring National Art Prize Launches New Grant Program
The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) has launched a new grant program, the Catalyst Grants Program, to support visual artists in the southern Gulf Islands.
For the next three years, “SSNAP will allocate $100,000 annually to fund these grants, with individual awards ranging from $3,000 to $10,000,” according to the news release.
Grant recipients will be able to develop their work for upcoming SSNAP competitions and contribute to SSNAP-related community events.
“The program is designed to support a diverse range of artistic practices, giving local artists the flexibility to pursue their creative visions without the financial constraints that often accompany artistic endeavours.”
The new program has been made possible through the support of The Wilding Foundation. More information and an application form can be found here.
