The Musée Héritage Museum in St. Albert is the recipient of the Robert R. Janes Award for Social Responsibility.
The award is presented to one Alberta museum per year that demonstrates leadership in creating community spaces that affect environmental and social landscapes.
According to the peer selection committee, the museum is recognized for its diverse partnerships, innovative programming and commitment to integrate inclusive collaborations into museum operations.
The formal awards ceremony is Sept. 19.
