The Kingston Prize
The Kingston Prize of $20,000 is presented by the W. Garfield Weston Foundation, and there will be two Honourable Mention awards of $2000 each. At each exhibition venue, there will be a People’s Choice award of $1000.
Eligible entries for this sixth biennial portrait competition are portraits of Canadians by Canadian artists, either paintings or drawings.
The exhibition of thirty finalists will be held at three venues: the Firehall Theatre, Gananoque ON in October 2015; the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Fredricton NB from November to February 2016; Maison d’art Desjardins Drummondville QC from February to March 2016.
