Vancouver's Capture Photography Festival, which runs April 2 to April 30, has announced two feature exhibitions.
Pictures and Promises at the Vancouver Art Gallery from Feb. 20 to Aug. 22, features work from the permanent collection that uses the formal language of fashion, advertising and the mass media to investigate the iconography of consumerism.
Featured artists include Vikky Alexander, Eugène Atget, Walker Evans, Gu Xiong, Richard Hamilton, Barbara Kruger, Ken Lum, Yasumasa Morimura, Andy Warhol and O Zhang.

Meanwhile, Feast for the Eyes, will run at the Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver from March 4 to May 30.
It explores the history of food and includes artists Nobuyoshi Araki, Buy Bourdin, Nan Goldin, Vik Muniz, Ed Ruscha, Cindy Sherman, Wolfgang Tillmans, Andy Warhol and Weegee, along with 50 more.
