Vancouver's Kimoto Gallery is closing as of June 29.
The gallery, at 1525 West 6th Ave., is across the street from a major construction project that's expected to be "a significant business and traffic interruption" for two to three years, said owner Katsumi Kimoto.
If clients can't make it to the gallery before it closes, they can arrange private viewings between July 2 and July 15, he said.
"We are presently unsure if the gallery will reopen for business in the coming months or years at a new location. In the meantime, the gallery will continue to offer a number of our private and corporate art consulting services, including curating, sourcing and installing.
He said ongoing commissions and payment plans will be followed through and the gallery will maintain its web presence and email address.
The gallery was open for six years and organized more than 70 exhibitions.
