Several Western Canadian dealers are participating in a new virtual version of Quebec's largest art fair, Papier 2020, from June 4 to June 21.
The roster of exhibitors includes TrépanierBaer and VivianeArt in Calgary, as well as Equinox, the Mónica Reyes Gallery, Macaulay & Co. Fine Art and Will Aballe Art Projects in Vancouver.
Papier, established in 2007 by the Contemporary Art Galleries Association, was originally to run in April as a live event, but had to pivot its plans due to the coronavirus pandemic.
VivianeArt is showing work by Alex Bierk, Erik Olson and Winnie Truong, while TrépanierBaer is promoting Luanne Martineau and Carroll Taylor Lindoe.
Macaulay & Co. is featuring Tyler Bright Hilton and Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun, while Mónica Reyes features Annie Briard, Adel Bentounsi, Amber Frid-Jimenez, Christina Kenton, Sebastian Maquieira, Jason McLean, Jayce Salloum, Talia Shipman, Kathy Slade and Corri-Lynn Tetz.
Wil Aballe is also bringing a large contingent of work by Kenojuak Ashevak, Kim Kennedy Austin, Jeff Hallbauer, Maegan Hill-Carroll, Brian Kokoska, Jeremy Laing, Lyse Lemieux, Kate Metten, Marina Roy, Nicolas Sassoon, Evann Siebens and Patryk Stasieczek.
